My mom always liked makeup and at a young age I started to get curious about it. One day, I asked her if she could teach me how to apply makeup. After that, every time my friends and I would go out, they would ask me if I could help with their makeup. Didn’t take long to go from makeup to brows, as you may remember, when we were kids our brows were very bushy and had no definition.
What a difference a brow design can make! At that time I don’t even think we had a name for “cleaning” our brows.
Fast forward to my new career as a Permanent Makeup Artist, it couldn’t be any different. It all started with my mom in one of our long phone conversations. Being from Brazil and living here for 15 years on my own (no family from Brazil), you can imagine how many hours my mom and I spend on the phone.
Going back to my story, my mom told me she had microblading done. I had no idea what she was talking about. But I became so excited at the possibility to have better looking brows (now that I’m in my thirties and I do not have bushy brows anymore) that I started searching for everything on the internet and decided that Permanent Makeup would be my new career.
Now I have the chance to help other women feel better about themselves and as a bonus they don’t have to spend so much time applying their makeup.
